Former Derby County defender Ryan Shotton will be taking his first ever Manager role at a Charity match in memory of a young crash victim.
A Ryan Shotton XI will take to the field for the match in memory of Leek CSOB player Kieran Rutter, who was a regular at the Birmingham City man's pub - the Black Lion - in Cheddleton.
Shotton's side will take on a team selected by Kieran's dad, Steve. All the money from the match will go to the family ..
Shotton told the Stoke Sentinel: "The Leek CSOB lads came to the pub after games and I got to know them, Kieran and his family.
"I am a dad now and I cannot imagine the pain of losing a child and I wanted to help the family out.
"I have wanted to help for a while and now is the right time before I go back for pre-season training with Birmingham City."
The fund-raising football match kicks off at Pointon Park, Cheddleton, at 2pm on Sunday. Admission for this match will be free.
