Derby Cointy sold 25 year old Tom Ince this summer to premiership side Huddersfield. Derby county sold the player for £11.3 with £8m down . The young player says he wants to prove the doubters wrong as he looks to make a statement in the Premier League.
This will not be atoms first time in the Premier League . He played for Hull City and Crystal Palace before joining the rams in 2015 .
"It's great to have the opportunity in the Premier League," Ince told the Huddersfield Examiner. "I'm with a manager and team that I feel plays the way I want to play.
"The manager wants everyone to work hard, to give 100% at every opportunity and if you don't train like that you won't play like that.
"If I work hard in training then I know I will be given the opportunity which is up to me to take.
"Previously I didn't get that chance and people are perhaps a little bit quick to judge me at this level.
"But I know if I am given the opportunity I can create and score goals and excite people."
Last season Tom Ince was Derby County's top scorer with 15 goals,
He also netted the only goal of the game as the Terriers beat Accrington Stanley. This was his first game for them too
"We've got a point to prove and there is no reason why we should come into this league just to make up the numbers," said Ince.
"I don't think Huddersfield should have any problems coming into this league – the way we play football and the attacking options we've got, there's no reason why we can't cause teams problems and score goals home or away."
Huddersfield boss David Wagner was also impressed with what he saw from Ince following the friendly win.
"We scored one goal from Incey and this is why we signed him," Wagner told Huddersfield TV. "He is able to score goals and I'm happy for him that he scored his first one on Wednesday."
