We are going to take a look at some of Derby county's manager Gary Rowett's tactics snd what options he has got .
Will he be playing With a lone striker in a 4-2-3-1 or could we see the 4-3-3 like we did last season ? Could we see him go for the easy
4-4-2 no one really Knows what he will play but one thing we all know is that he will need strikers to be on point and to get the rams the goals they need .
For at teams in the world world it is so important to have options and to have a plan B and some times a plan. C too . before that Derby County have suffered at times and stuck in one shape while attempting to tackle 46 Championship matches
.
So what am I trying to get at ?
I am just going to be taking a look at the attacking players for the time being and see where this takes us .
We have players like Matej Vydra, Andrea Weimann and Nick Blackman., Chris Martin, David Nugent and Darren Bent all who can play upfront . But Derby county only have Martin , Nugent and Bent who are seen as forwards that play down the middle. Players like Johnny Russell and Ikechi Anya are viewed as players for wide roles, and theybare good at there job .
So where will the other attackers fit into the manager's plans?
Vydra who was signed by former manager Nigel Pearson was being played down the middle in a 4-4-1-1 and the supporting players was James Wilson or Bent.
Caretaker-boss Chris Powell and Steve McCaren both used Vydra as the lone striker too .
In march when Gary Rowett, took over from McClaren, he tried Vydra in the middle of a three behind the striker.
This role looked a lot better and when he wa splayed there he looked so much happier and we got to see how good he really was .
Next player we will be looking at is Weimann.
Weimann has mainly played on the left of a 4-3-3 at Derby but there is a thought that his sharp movement might be more effective in and around a frontman. Do you agree or not let us know .
Pearson earmarked Weimann for the left side of a midfield four in a 4-4-1-1 but an injury on the eve of last season sidelined the Austrian. He was never able to work his way back in . He then ended up on loan to Wolves
ok now we are down to Blackman who has not really done anything for the rams . Last season he was out for most of the season with knee injury what kept him on the side lines .
Blackman will be doing his best to impress Gary Rowett and make up for lost time .
