29 year old Derby County defender Ikechi Anya who joined the rams last summer, says that manager Gary Rowett has no time for "slackers" in his squad.
The 29 year is a Scottish international player and he is currently with the rest of the Rams squad in Tenerife, taking part in a pre-season training camp.
He took time out of his busy day to sit down and talk to RamsTV:
"We know how he wants the team to play and work; it was good that we had him come in towards the end of last season so he could learn about us." "The manager wouldn't have it any other way than hard work.
"We know he (Rowett) doesn't have time for any slackers and that mentality is good, because anyone who isn't prepared to work for the team will fall by the wayside.
"I think it pushes everybody on and adds a competitiveness to succeed."

I'm warming to Rowett, and beginning to see why he has been so highly regarded.
He's a strong character, but not a Billy Davies psycho or a Nigel Pearson bully. He's one of the lads, but he has his businesslike side - McClaren could be a bit too desperate to be liked by his players at times. He knows the way he wants his team to play, again unlike McClaren, and Clement. And he isn't scared to make the tough decisions - selling Ince and Hughes, with Christie and Bent possibly on their travels too
All he needs to do now is recruit the next Bobby Davison or Dean Saunders or Igor Stimac.
Easy!
