It was confirmed last month that a fee and personal terms had been agreed and that the deal would be completed once the player returned from his summer holiday.
Following the completion of a successful medical, Wisdom has signed a four-year contract which will run until the summer of 2021.
The former England Under-21 international needs little introduction to Rams supporters after he spent a successful spell on loan at Pride Park Stadium during the 2013/14 campaign.
He made 38 appearances in all during that time and his fine form saw him quickly become a popular figure amongst the Derby faithful.
Wisdom is manager Gary Rowett’s second summer recruit following the acquisition of experienced centre-back Curtis Davies from Hull City.
Leeds-born Wisdom came through the youth ranks at Liverpool, after joining them as a 14-year-old from Bradford City, and made 22 first-team appearances for the Reds.
He has spent time out on loan in recent seasons gaining first-team match experience, with his time at Pride Park proving to be his first temporary move away from Anfield back in 2013/14.
He starred as Derby reached the Sky Bet Championship Play-Off Final, playing at right-back throughout his time at the club, before moving to West Bromwich Albion and Norwich City for season-long spells during 2014/15 and 2015/16.
The 2016/17 campaign saw him head out on loan again as he broadened his horizons with a stint at Austrian side Red Bull Salzburg, helping the to win the Austrian Bundesliga as well as the Austrian Cup.
On the international stage, Wisdom boasts England youth international caps to his name at Under-16, 17, 19 and 21 level.
In total, Wisdom has made 122 appearances in club football and scored a single goal – which came for Liverpool on his professional debut back in September 2012 against Young Boys in the Europa League.
